I applaud President Biden for his executive action earlier this week to
fix a loophole in the Affordable Care Act. This action will make health
insurance coverage affordable for 1 million more Americans that were
previously left out of the cost savings of the ACA Marketplace.

I’m proud to say that the Congressional Progressive Caucus called for this
action from the President shortly after his State of the Union address. It
was one of our foremost asks of the White House, because we know so many
middle class and low income folks are struggling to pay their bills and
get health coverage.

We know this isn’t enough. Which is why we need to
keep expanding coverage and cost savings to more people, all while we push
for Medicare for All. I will not stop my advocacy for immediate wins for
working people AND transformative policies to guarantee health care for
all.

asking you today to make your
first donation to fuel my fight to deliver for the people.
When you chip in $3 or anything at all, you’re helping me
continue my fierce advocacy to make health care a human right for everyone
in this country. We need to be bold, and we need to pass Medicare for All.

This executive action will have a particular impact for women and
children, many of whom have been effectively locked out of the ACA
marketplace before this loophole was fixed. With costs on the rise and
corporations continuing to squeeze working families, actions like today’s
are exactly what we need from President Biden to provide immediate,
tangible economic relief.

As we continue the fight for Medicare For All — because health care is a
right, not a privilege — this is an important step that will ensure
millions more get care they need now.

All, please contribute today.

I hope the President will next answer our call to use his executive action
power to lower prescription drugs for millions of people.

In solidarity,

Pramila
