Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson will officially become the first Black woman in history to serve on the Supreme Court. Words nearly fail to capture what a momentous day this is. 

Today, a barrier that has existed for 233 years has finally been broken. Today, with our most fundamental rights under relentless attack, a brilliant legal mind who will protect those very rights has been added to our nation's highest court. Today, little girls across the country are dreaming big, knowing that soon-to-be Justice Jackson paved the way for them to follow in her footsteps. 

I hope you'll join me in celebrating this historic moment by signing the congratulations card my team is putting together for future Justice Jackson. I'm looking to gather at least 10,000 names by midnight, and I hope I can count on yours.
