With Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s confirmation to the Supreme Court, history is unfolding before our eyes as she has become the first Black woman in our nation’s history to occupy a seat on its highest court.

Despite all the slander and the aggressively racist, misogynistic posturing by numerous Senate Republicans, Justice Jackson made it clear to 53 Senators that she is incredibly qualified and ready to serve.

Justice Jackson will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Court and you should be deeply proud today -- and ready to do everything it takes to Establish Justice across America tomorrow and beyond.

This historic confirmation will not be the end of this story -- it will be the beginning because if we work hard throughout 2022, November will bring even more historic moments for establishing justice as we work to elect outstanding candidates for statewide judicial seats, Attorneys General, and State and District Attorneys.

The truth is Republicans have continued to stack the courts with conservative judges because they know that our courts hold a tremendous amount of power over so many issues that impact everyday people.

That’s why DFA members have been on the front lines in the battle to Establish Justice nationwide for years, from helping elect Keith Ellison in Minnesota to Kim Foxx in Chicago, Larry Kasner in Philadelphia, Wesley Bell in St. Louis, and Chesa Boudin in San Francisco.

Last year, we picked up a key victory by helping Lori Dumas become only the second Black woman ever elected to the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court. And now we have 5 early key races on our Establish Justice slate so far for 2022, with more to come:
