Dear Friend,
When Mad is in D.C., you can usually find her in the Capitol working on efforts to better PA-04 – like her recent securing of $240,000 to expand resources for treating neonatal abstinence syndrome at Holy Redeemer Hospital in Abington Township.
This Tuesday, though, she made her way over to the White House.
Why? To join President Biden as he signed an executive order to expand affordable healthcare coverage to millions of Americans – the most significant improvement to the Affordable Care Act since its enactment.
For many of us, our health has been top of mind over these past two years. And with today being World Health Day, Team Dean wants to hear about your top health priorities.
We’ve come a long way from the days when a pre-existing condition meant a denial of care, but Mad and congressional Democrats know there’s more we can and must do to prioritize the health of Americans nationwide like:
- lowering prescription drug costs.
- expanding access to mental health resources.
- capping the cost of insulin at $35 per month.
- dedicating more funds for pregnant and postpartum women’s health needs.
- creating new supportive services for individuals with substance use disorder.
See something missing from the list? Let us know here.
We hope you and your loved ones are staying healthy and well!
- Team Dean
