There’s a lot of talk right now about how we’re about to see the first Black woman on the Supreme Court, and that it’s only possible because of our two Georgia senators — Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock — whose elections cemented the Senate Democratic majority.

That’s true.

But more importantly, we only have those two senators and control of the U.S. Senate because of grassroots supporters who worked so hard in 2020 and 2021 to elect those two, critical Georgia Senators.

This historic moment is thanks to you. It’s because of your hard work that we are seeing the first Black woman appointed to the Supreme Court.

So thank you, John.

Now we want to continue on this path of historic progress in the future. We want to see more incredible moments just like today. And that’ll take all of us working just as hard.
