I am so elated that the Senate has voted to confirm Ketanji Brown Jackson to a seat on the Supreme Court!

Our country is a more just place when those who lead look like those they lead. And today, we took one more step toward that goal. Representation does matter!

My hope for our future is renewed once again. Every day we fight for what is right is another day that we bend the arc of the moral universe toward justice.

The appointment of Justice Jackson is just what our present judicial system and America needs. This appointment only strengthens my resolve to continue my fight for more equity and opportunity in our country through my work in Congress.
