I hope you saw the news: Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson has officially been confirmed by a bipartisan vote to make her the newest Justice on the U.S. Supreme Court – and the first Black woman to ever serve on the Supreme Court. This is wonderful news, today I’m proud to be a Democrat and to see history in the making.

Like Justice Jackson, I’m fighting to make history too, and to become the first Black woman elected to the Senate from Ohio. We have a real chance to make this happen. I’m the only candidate in this race fighting for Medicare for All, a living wage, and protecting the right to abortion by codifying Roe v. Wade and expanding the court.
