This Earth Week, we're thrilled to celebrate and "Invest in our Planet" with a packed week of events. We hope you join us as we dive into what it means to invest in our future, our youth, our waters, our relationships, and lastly, our communities.

We've all read the news and climate reports making it clear that we have to act now to solve the climate crisis. At times it may sound daunting, but I have hope that we can create a sustainable future for our children.

I'm hopeful because of the community members, elected officials, and supporters like you I've seen commit themselves to changing our state for the better. Being a part of this movement means showing up, so please join us for Earth Week from April 18 to 22, and invest in our future.

Invest in Our Future: 20th Anniversary Kick-Off Event

Mon. April 18, 6 to 7 p.m.

This year we are celebrating 20 years of Wisconsin Conservation Voters and environmental progress in Wisconsin – and we are looking ahead to the progress we can make 20 years from now.

Invest in Our Youth

Tues. April 19, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Young people are leading the movement for climate justice and sounding alarms worldwide about the necessity of taking action to combat the climate crisis. Gather with us as we elevate a few of these voices, learn how we can support each other, and reflect on ways to take action.

Invest in Our Waters

Wed. April 20, 6 to 7 p.m.

The effects of climate change on the largest body of freshwater is unquestionable: surface temperature fluctuations, an influx of invasive species, change in wind speeds, and more. Attend this important presentation to learn how Lake Superior is threatened by the climate crisis.

Invest in Our Relationships

Thurs. April 21, 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Join us as we take a deep dive into our relationship with the natural world – including plants, non-human animals, and each other. Think of this as a one-day book club focused on Robin Wall Kimmerer’s 2013 book, Braiding Sweetgrass.

Invest in Our Communities

This Earth Week is a statewide – and national – effort to drive people to climate action. Our partners across the state will also be hosting Earth Week events and initiatives, so let's show our support. Follow us on social media throughout the week to stay tapped into our partners' efforts.

More Ways to Get Involved

Looking for other ways to get involved in the conservation voter movement? I have a few suggestions. You can always reach out to me or your local organizer to find out ways to tap into climate work in your area.

Our activist toolkit is also a great resource for how to write your elected officials, write an opinion piece for a local newspaper, and many other tools.
