I don’t know if you know this, but my mom is running for Governor of Florida against Ron DeSantis.

AND: Today’s her birthday! And I know what would mean more than anything else to her…well I know how much she loves spending time with me, my dad, and our dogs. So maybe after those things, there’s nothing that would mean more to my mom than if you made a small donation to her campaign.

This is weird, John. I don’t usually get involved in my parents’ jobs – I try to focus on school, my friends, and college applications. And okay, maybe the occasional scroll on TikTok.

But recently, even I can’t ignore what Ron DeSantis is doing. I don’t want to live in a state where people hate each other based on their sexuality or race, John.

Look: I believe in my mom. I know how much she cares about this state and how hard she’ll work for Florida families. She’s always believed in me, John, and I really believe she can win.

So I’m asking you for your help today, on my mom’s birthday.
