Yesterday, Republicans blocked the Senate from voting on a bipartisan COVID-19 package that would ensure we’re prepared to protect the American people and respond to whatever else this virus has in store for us.

Instead of passing this critical health bill, Republicans decided to turn the moment into a 2022 campaign commercial by demanding immediate changes to President Biden’s immigration policies.

The sad truth is: there’s nothing you can count on more in Washington than Mitch McConnell putting politics before the public good. This isn’t about immigration. It’s the start of a contentious campaign season that could continue until the 2024 Presidential elections if McConnell gets the gavel!

So, it’s more important than ever that Democrats show up strong in November — and win.
