Dear FAIR Friends,

Since 1986, FAIR’s content has been free—from paywalls, as well as advertising, corporate and government money. We believe good journalism should be loyal only to the truth, and that access to critical, reliable information is a right. We’ve just begun our spring fundraiser, which allows us to continue the work necessary to advocate for these values.

Our spring fundraising drive is crucial in solidifying our finances as our work for 2022 moves into full swing. We are embarking on a project to create digital archives of all CounterSpin episodes we have on cassette. We’re also hoping to attract more writers with a broader array of expertise, and continue offering interns a living wage for their work. As we try to invigorate the next generation of media activists, we’re growing our social media presence and expanding the media literacy resources we have on our site.

In fact, not only does FAIR not accept money from corporate or government entities, but we also rely on individual donations from people like you for most of our revenue! That means you don’t have to be part of a large foundation to make a difference. Any amount you’re able to spare today helps power us forward!

* $15 covers an hour of an intern’s diligent work.
* $20 covers a month’s worth of CounterSpin podcast distribution.
* $60 covers two months of our subscription to the New York Times—which helps us frame our media criticism.
* $100 covers a month’s worth of our website hosting fees.
* $200 covers a month’s worth of CounterSpin transcripts.
* $300 covers writers’ fees for a FAIR article!

Because of generous people like you, we’ve been able to publish hard-hitting critiques covering everything from freedom of speech to Western Sahara.
