In the midst of Vladimir Putin’s inhumane war of choice against Ukraine, Big Oil companies are hiking up the price of gas and exploiting working Americans at the pump in order to enrich themselves.

These companies have the ability to pump more gas and drive down costs — but they choose not to.

But Tammy Duckworth is doing all she can to prevent them from selling out consumers to make higher profits. Just recently, she:

• Introduced the Gas Price Gouging Prevention Act to make gas price gouging during times of international crisis a federal crime
• Called on President Biden to allow gas stations to sell E15 fuel, a cost-efficient American biofuel, year-round
• Helped introduce the Home Front Energy Independence Act to ban imports of Russian oil and support development of renewable energy in the Midwest
• Encouraged President Biden to establish a task force that works to prevent large oil companies from price gouging
