And while in the capital city of Bratislava, he placed a wreath in the Gate of Freedom Memorial, a memorial that honors the victims of communism who tried to cross the Iron Curtain in the late 1940's. John, this entire experience was special for Governor Holcomb, and it reminded him just how important it is that all free people of the world join together to defend democracies. He was also so inspired by the Ukrainian refugees he joined in Slovakia. Governor Holcomb is so proud of all Hoosiers for the part we’re playing to support the people of Ukraine in this time of crisis. Indiana will always stand against threats to freedom and democracy, no matter where they may be. Thanks, Holcomb Crew |
