There’s no more time for the Senate to delay history in the making. Ketanji Brown Jackson has the experience, grit, and determination needed to be our nation’s first Black woman confirmed to the Supreme Court.

I’m going to share with you why I believe Judge Jackson is one of the most qualified nominees for the Supreme Court ever. But first, I’m asking if you’ll add your name to our petition and join me in calling on the Senate to confirm Ketanji Brown Jackson. →

During her confirmation hearings, Judge Jackson showed us just how much she understands the day-to-day of working families in Arkansas and across the country. She spoke these words that stuck with my wife Jerrilyn and me:

“I know it has not been easy as I have tried to navigate the challenges of juggling my career and motherhood. And I fully admit that I did not always get the balance right. But I hope that you have seen that with hard work, determination, and love, it can be done.”

A child is the joy of every good parent’s life. And unlike a lot of math problems, there’s no formula for figuring out how to be the perfect parent.

Between juggling a career, mortgage, childcare, and the duties of parenting – Ketanji Brown Jackson has made it clear that she understands times can get tough. But, her presence before the judiciary committee these past few weeks has shown us all what it looks like to persevere.

It’s no wonder why a majority of Americans believe that it’s time we confirm Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court. I proudly count myself as part of that majority and am calling on the Senate to confirm Judge Jackson swiftly.
