Soon, the Senate will vote to confirm Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson as the first black woman Justice on the U.S. Supreme Court. It's a historic moment for our country and it will be an honor to cast my vote confirming her appointment.
Judge Jackson's qualifications are exceptional. Her experiences in the judicial system are as extensive as they are diverse. I know her impressive background will make her an outstanding addition to the Court.
This is a long-overdue moment for our country. Millions of American Black women have never had someone who looks like them serving our nation's highest court.
