VICTORY: AMAZON WORKERS VOTE TO UNIONIZE.

John,

Amazon, America's second largest private employer, threw everything they had at workers on Staten Island, NY. And Amazon lost.

They threatened pay cuts. They forced workers to listen to their union-busting lies. They fired the union's leaders.

But a billion dollar corporation and their fancy lawyers couldn't beat good old fashioned worker solidarity. Amazon has its first unionized worksite, and if the wave of unions in places like Starbucks is any indication, it won't be the last. The workers at the JFK8 warehouse on Staten Island are fighting for the same things I'm fighting for working in fast-food: an end to poverty wages, long hours, and unsafe workplaces. We're fighting for respect.

These CEOs and corporations are scared. The CEO of Starbucks said his billion dollar corporation is being “assaulted” by the threat of unionization. Amazon banned words like “union” from their internal communications app. Another word they banned? “Restrooms”.

I've got news for these corporations: we're fed up with the disrespect. We WILL win better wages, safer workplaces, and respect. And we'll do that through our right to unionize.

Sign in solidarity with Amazon workers and everyone fighting for dignity >> [[link removed]]
