It comes as no surprise that party-over-people Senator Ted Cruz endorsed former Ohio Treasurer Josh Mandel for the open U.S. Senate seat during the Republican primary.
Mandel, who is a huge supporter of restrictive voter ID laws that would make it even harder for marginalized communities to cast their ballots, is a notorious Donald Trump loyalist. And like Senator Cruz, Mandel has perpetuated the dangerous and false claim that the 2020 election was "stolen."
Senator Cruz’s endorsement of the former Ohio Treasurer could mean a big boost for Mandel – but we can’t let voters be swayed by obstructionist Republicans who care more about party-power than the people of Ohio.
