Friend,
Five Democratic debates. Ten candidates left on stage. And still, just one question on climate change.
Climate change has been the topic of less than 10% of the questions asked at each of the previous four debates, and this one was no different. It's clear the candidates are ready to talk climate -- everyone from Mayor Buttigieg to Senators Warren and Sanders to Andrew Yang brought it up in their answers to unrelated questions -- but it's also clear neither the moderators nor the party thinks this is a priority.
It's unconscionable. This is the greatest existential threat of our time, and yet, still -- nothing.
This will only change if we come together and demand it does. Before next month's DNC debate, add your name to demand climate-focused questions and answers be a priority for candidates, moderators, and party leadership.
Very truly yours,
Jay
