This is very simple: Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas did not recuse himself from a decision to provide his wife’s text messages to the January 6th committee.
In fact, Clarence Thomas was the only Justice on the Supreme Court AGAINST providing his wife’s messages to the January 6th committee. How is that not a massive conflict of interest?
Even if you ignore the fact that Ginny Thomas – a Supreme Court justice’s wife – was texting White House chief of staff Mark Meadows and spouting the Big Lie just days after the election… Why would Clarence Thomas not recuse himself? What’s the big deal?
If you’re thinking there should be laws against this type of thing, you’d be right. There are laws against this nonsense. If Clarence Thomas is not willing to recuse himself from all future cases involving the 2020 presidential election and the January 6th committee, then he must resign!
I served our country across the globe for nearly 4 decades in the U.S. Navy. I took an oath to protect our democracy against all enemies, foreign and domestic. My Republican opponent Chuck Grassley continues to peddle the Big Lie in an attempt to gain favor with the GOP’s overlord Donald Trump.
And Trump is repaying him: He already came to Iowa to host a rally for Grassley, patting him on the shoulder and saying, ”Thanks, Chuck.”
The polls show I can defeat Chuck Grassley. His approval ratings are the lowest they’ve ever been in every poll. But Senate control is going to be decided here in Iowa, and that’s why Mitch McConnell and his Super PACs are already raising millions to spend attacking me.
