Cori is leading to make Medicare for All a reality for all of our communities because universal health care is essential to our movement to save Black lives.
John, health care is a human right.
That's why last week, Cori made history and chaired the first House Oversight Committee hearing on Medicare for All — and the first Congressional hearing on the policy since the start of the pandemic.
Cori is leading to make Medicare for All a reality for all of our communities because universal health care is essential to our movement to save Black lives.
Cori was an original co-sponsor of Medicare for All this Congress and will continue working to ensure the bill receives a vote on the House floor and becomes law. Big, bold, transformational ideas like Medicare for All can sometimes seem really far away. But with leaders like Cori Bush in Congress, each day is a step towards making those transformational policies a reality for all of us.
If you're with us in this movement, will you chip in $5 or anything you can now to power Cori's organizing and advocacy?
As a nurse in St. Louis, Cori saw firsthand the stark inequities faced by uninsured and under-insured folks. Every day, people are forced to ration expensive medication like insulin, skip dialysis appointments, forgo surgical procedures, or refuse medical care entirely — and this lack of care falls disproportionately on Black and brown communities.
Thanks to our governments' willingness to side with Big Pharma and insurance industry profits over human health and life, folks will continue to fall ill and die of preventable illnesses. Unless we step up and demand change.
We deserve a health care system that prioritizes humanity over greed and compassion over exploitation. Cori won't give up this fight, but it won't be easy. There is deep opposition to Medicare for All in Congress because of the influence of Big Pharma and big insurance companies, not to mention Cori's eight opponents we'll have to fend off this election.
We know you believe that those most impacted by our government’s broken policies should lead the push for solutions, John. That’s exactly who Cori is, and what she’s doing.
We need to have Cori's back, so please, will you chip in $5 or more now to keep Cori in Congress? Our campaign for bold progress is 100% funded by people like you.
Chip in $5
