We’re on the verge of a historic moment for our country.
On Monday, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson's nomination to the Supreme Court moved out of the Senate Judiciary Committee, bringing her one step closer to a confirmation vote before the full Senate.
Judge Jackson will make an excellent Supreme Court Justice. Her experience in public service as both a trial judge and a public defender give her unparalleled knowledge of the justice system — and a deep understanding of how the Court’s decisions affect everyday people.
And as the first Black woman nominated to the Supreme Court, Judge Jackson’s nomination is historic. Her background and experience will make the U.S. Supreme Court more reflective of our country.
