We need to cancel student loan debt

Justice Democrats

John,

More than 43 million people owing more than $1.7 trillion: That’s the student loan debt crisis in America.

This week, President Biden announced another extension of the student debt pause, marking the 5th time the pause has been extended since March 2020. But pausing payments is not enough.

On the campaign trail, Joe Biden pledged to cancel $10,000 of student debt per person. But as President, Biden has failed to provide permanent relief to the 43 million Americans with student debt.

NO ONE should go into crushing debt for pursuing higher education. If you’re with Justice Democrats in this fight, chip in $3 or any amount to fuel our work today:

At Justice Democrats, we firmly believe in an Economy for All — an important part of this position is canceling student loan debt. Tens of millions of people in America are held back by mountains of student debt. The $1.7 trillion of student loan debt deepens the racial and class divide in this country, and deepens the struggle felt by so many households.

JD’s in Congress are working to outright cancel student loan debt. Chip in $3 so we can send more progressive fighters to join them.

In solidarity,

Justice Democrats
