Where's The Special Counsel?
No, I'm not talking about Special Counsel John Durham. I'm talking about the special counsel appointed to investigate the Biden family's corrupt foreign connections.
Attorney General Merrick Garland hasn't appointed one yet. But with every passing day, it becomes more apparent that the appointment of a special counsel to investigate the president is more than warranted.
Here's the latest development: Newly disclosed emails indicate that Joe Biden ([link removed]) wrote college letters of recommendation for the children of one of Hunter Biden's Chinese business associates.
Now why would the former vice president of the United States be bothered to write letters for complete strangers? Obviously, they were strangers because Joe Biden has repeatedly insisted that he NEVER discussed Hunter's business dealings with him.
Of course, I'm being sarcastic. Joe Biden clearly knew that these letters were "payback" for Hunter's influence peddling scheme.
The communist Chinese were funneling millions of dollars to the Biden family. A couple of college recommendation letters was the least "the Big Guy" could do to show his gratitude to his communist patrons.
We need a special counsel ([link removed]) to investigate the Biden crime family, but I'm not holding my breath that Merrick Garland will do the right thing. However, if Republicans gain control of either the House of Representatives or the Senate this November, they can launch a deep dive into the lucrative and secretive Biden family business ([link removed]) .
America First
A recent poll ([link removed]) conducted for a British media outlet asked one of the most interesting questions I've seen in a long time, "What's the better scenario for America: Vladimir Putin loses power in Russia or Joe Biden loses power in America?"
At first glance, the answer seems obvious: It would be better for America if Putin loses power in Russia, right? But only 43% of likely American voters said that. In contrast, 52% of likely voters said it would be better for America if Joe Biden loses power in the United States.
I confess I was initially surprised by the results. But the more I thought about it, it makes sense. If Putin loses power in Russia, we have no idea that whoever replaces him would be any better.
Moreover, Putin losing power in Russia doesn't do anything to secure our border, solve our crime crisis or address runaway inflation. It wouldn't have any impact on the left-wing indoctrination of our children in the public schools. It wouldn't stop the collapse of the American family or heal the deep divisions in America that are being exacerbated by the left.
But getting Joe Biden and anyone like him out of office would give us a chance to make progress on all those things.
So, even though I sympathize with the suffering of the Ukrainian people, and would love to see the Russian people thriving in a truly free nation, I don't see that as more important than what is happening right here in America to our freedom and future.
While we continue to help Ukraine to whatever extent we can, we must be focused on the crises here that threaten to take America down. And what is about to happen at our southern border next month ([link removed]) will have a far greater impact on America than anything happening in Ukraine.
In short, we must always put America First!
Elon Takes On Twitter
Elon Musk made headlines this week for buying nine percent of Twitter's stock and immediately joining the company's board of directors.
Musk is not a traditional conservative by any stretch of the imagination. He is heavily invested in communist China ([link removed]) .
But he has regularly spoken out against the left's attacks on freedom of speech and the absurdity of the woke agenda ([link removed]) . He has openly mocked Twitter ([link removed]) for its censorship of normal ideas and conservative viewpoints.
For example, the satirical site Babylon Bee, Charlie Kirk, founder of the conservative youth organization Turning Point, and Tucker Carlson, one of the most independent conservative voices, are all currently locked out of their Twitter accounts.
Not because they said something crazy about COVID or embraced conspiracies about the 2020 elections. No, they were banned by Twitter ([link removed]) because they dared to say that Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services Rachel Levine, who claims to be a trans woman, is a biological man.
That is a scientifically provable fact. But for saying that simple truth, they were locked out of their accounts.
Twitter banned many people who voiced opinions on COVID by claiming that their opinions were "unscientific." But now Twitter is clearly ignoring biological science in favor of left-wing conspiracy theories about gender.
By some estimates, Elon Musk is the richest man in the world ([link removed]) , and he actually has conservative instincts on a number of issues. While it won't happen overnight, we should wish him well in his new endeavors to reform Twitter ([link removed]) and end its censorship.
Gaetz vs. Austin
Yesterday, Rep. Matt Gaetz ([link removed]) confronted Biden Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin over the ideological transformation of the U.S. military. Gaetz brought up many issues that we have raised in recent weeks and months. For example:
* Gaetz wanted to know why a leftist professor was given a platform at a leading war college to suggest that the only way we can defeat communist China is to embrace socialism here in America.
* Gaetz raised the fact that poisonous critical race theory has been woven into the curriculum at West Point.
* And he blasted the Pentagon for forcing soldiers to participate in mandatory training on the use of "preferred pronouns."
Of course, Secretary Austin had no real answers to these questions and concerns. He deflected them by suggesting that Rep. Gaetz was simply "embarrassed by our country and our military."
So, if you are against critical race theory, if you think there are only two genders and that pronouns should reflect biological reality, and that it is ludicrous for our military to spend one second or one dime on any of this nonsense, you are embarrassed by America -- because that's how the left intends to "fundamentally transform America."
"America," under the left will no longer be the "land of the free and the home of the brave." It will be a land where a man can be a woman. It will be a land where you are forced to lie, forced to say that a man is a woman. There's nothing free or brave about that.
Kudos to Rep. Gaetz for raising these critical issues. In response to Austin's insult, Gaetz fired back, "No, I'm embarrassed by your leadership!"
It was a very revealing exchange, and I believe most Americans would be shocked if they knew what was really going on inside our military today.
Sadly, I know many establishment Republicans were embarrassed that Gaetz raised these "culture war" issues. Those RINOs are wrong. Conservatives shouldn't be afraid of these issues -- the American people are with us!
More Republicans must be willing to aggressively confront the Democrats on cultural and moral questions just as Matt Gaetz did.
By the way, Gaetz also blasted Austin and other Pentagon leaders for getting really important issues so terribly wrong. We were told that Afghanistan wouldn't fall quickly ([link removed]) to the Taliban, and we were told that Ukraine would fall within hours ([link removed]) to Russia.
Neither assessment was right! But that's why we're giving the Pentagon hundreds of billions of dollars – to protect our national security interests, not to play with pronouns!
All Eyes On Jerusalem
The coalition government of Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett is hanging by a thread. Yesterday, it governed Israel with a bare majority of 61 seats in the Knesset.
This morning, Jerusalem was rocked by the resignation of Yamina Party Chairwoman Idit Silman ([link removed]) , who left the fragile coalition, saying, "I cannot take part in harming the Jewish identity of Israel." In her letter of resignation, she urged Prime Minister Bennett to "recalculate and try to form a national, Jewish, Zionist government."
Bennett can remain prime minister with just 60 seats in the Knesset, but the ability of his government to pass legislation is seriously in doubt. If another Knesset member leaves his coalition, a vote of no confidence and new elections are likely.
Likud Party leader and former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised Silman and urged other Knesset members to follow her example and "come back home."
