John -- Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) have always played a critical role in protecting the right to vote in the Black community. In this critical midterm election year, voting rights, especially for Black and young voters, are under attack. That’s why we’re launching the VOTE LOUD HBCU Squad Challenge to empower HBCU students to take a leading role in voter registration, education, and mobilization .

Are you an HBCU student, educator, or administrator? We are looking for YOU!

Here’s how it works: Each HBCU Voting Squad will receive a grant to not only register people to vote ahead of the November elections but also host Get Out The Vote events and campaigns to ensure everyone in their community makes their voices heard in our elections. With the grant, HBCU Squads led by current students, educators, and staff can host events and voter registration drives, train new volunteers, educate voters, and canvass their campus and surrounding communities.

The Squads with the most creative ideas could be eligible for prizes like exclusive merch, a pop-up event on their campus with celebrity appearances, or even a concert celebrating their efforts this election cycle. Know someone on an HBCU campus? Reach out to an HBCU student, educator, or administrator you know and ask them to sign up for the challenge now >> [[link removed]]

All across the country we’re seeing massive efforts to suppress our vote and our voices. The VOTE LOUD HBCU Squad Challenge is an exciting way to get as many people registered to vote and able to participate in the upcoming midterm elections as possible. There’s a lot at stake so we need to do our best to get representation that reflects the needs of our communities. If you are on an HBCU campus, sign up for the Squad Challenge today.
