Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson is the first African American woman nominated to the Supreme Court and, if appointed, the first Black woman to sit on the Supreme Court as well as one of the most qualified justices in history. She is known in the legal community as a highly experienced judge with a diverse background of legal and public service and has, time and time again, demonstrated a commitment to fairness and impartiality in the justice system.

The event will be driven by the voices of some of California’s own Black women leaders and feature commemorative artwork from local artists.
