 Hey there, John — I’m Rebecca, Josh’s sister. I was also his first Campaign Manager when he ran for the State House back in 2004 — so I know a thing or two about how hard Josh works for Pennsylvania.
When he was just starting out in public service, the most important thing to Josh was that he get to know his community. Each night he walked out of our tiny campaign office to knock on doors & meet voters. Over the course of 11 months, Josh knocked on 18,000 doors, and walked through 3 pairs of shoes! He was laser focused. He felt the only way to protect a community was to understand their needs. 18 years later, his perspective has not changed. No matter how or where he connects with Pennsylvanians (traveling on that huge bus is a major upgrade from our early days, though!) Josh has never stopped listening to or fighting for the people he represents. That’s why I’m on Team Shapiro. I’ve believed in Josh since day one — and I know just how much work he puts into serving Pennsylvania. I know how talented Josh is as a brother, a father, and a candidate for office — listening to voters and living his values of truth, compassion and hard work — not to mention his impressive basketball skills and stellar work on the grill! I also know that my brother alone can’t win this race. It’s too competitive and too big to be a one-person operation. He’ll need a whole team working around the clock and tens of thousands of grassroots supporters from all across Pennsylvania and the nation to win. That’s where you come in, John. Without you, Josh can’t win — and then we run the risk of seeing Pennsylvanians’ rights and our democracy come crashing down under a Republican trifecta.
