Good news! The Assembly Housing Committee voted unanimously 7-0 to pass AB 2244 (Wicks)! This bill would reduce residential parking requirements for newly built religious institutions to allow for the construction of housing, removing barriers for faith institutions that want to use their land to build affordable housing.
Thank you Assemblymember Buffy Wicks for your leadership, and the faith community for their continued support. AB 2244 now heads to the Assembly floor for a vote.
