I have always made accessible health care a priority — the families and seniors of Kansas deserve to have accessible and affordable health care which is why I will continue to work hard to make changes to our health care system.
Right now me and my team are working around the clock to cap insulin prices. No one should have to go without life saving medication because they can’t afford it.
I have heard one too many stories beginning when I first ran for my seat in congress regarding families rationing insulin in order to afford the cost of living. The choice shouldn’t be either food or medication, we need to make changes now if we don’t want things to get worse.
No matter your insurer or the state you live in, no one should pay more than $35 for life saving medication. The high prices of medication, specifically insulin, impacts so many of our Kansas communities, but we can make a change.
