Dear Colleague, We are delighted to announce the launch of the Climate Leadership Council’s new blog series: Climate Perspectives. This series will cover the latest news on climate policy, present expert commentary, and highlight the Council’s research. Our first three blog posts are out now: “Emissions from Imports: An Untapped Opportunity for Decarbonization” by Elan Sykes examines what would happen if we had market incentives in place in the global economy to encourage more production in less carbon intensive regions. “Carbon Pricing: The Best Way to Achieve the Power Grid of the Future” by Peter Della-Rocca promotes carbon pricing as the most efficient way to achieve the twin goals of rapid decarbonization and increased grid reliability. “We Have the Data We Need to Track Emissions in Global Trade” by Shayla Ragimov highlights how much of the data needed to jumpstart a border carbon adjustment is already being compiled by various jurisdictions and institutions. We invite you to visit our website to read the blog. All the best, The Climate Leadership Council The Climate Leadership Council works with a broad set of stakeholders to promote the most cost-effective, equitable and politically viable climate solutions.
