NCOA joins advocates urging Congressional action on Medicaid

The impending expiration of funding for Medicaid programs in US territories is expected to be addressed today with an extension to December 20. However, if these funds are allowed to expire after then, territories will be forced to revert to inadequate capped allotments that would harm their budgets, access to health care, and the health of patients. NCOA joined dozens of other organizations in urging Congressional leadership to address this problem. We are pleased to see the short-term extension, and will continue advocating for a long-term solution.
