TELL YOUR SENATORS NOW: Confirm Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme
Court
The Supreme Court often has the last word on how — and sometimes even
whether — environmental laws are enforced. Judge Jackson has proven that
she belongs on the Court — and the Senate must confirm her nomination
without delay.

Dear NRDC Action Fund Activist,
After enduring a gauntlet of asinine attacks from many of the Republicans
on the Senate Judiciary Committee in her confirmation hearings, Judge
Ketanji Brown Jackson proved beyond a doubt that she's prepared to be our
next Supreme Court justice.
She is experienced. She is qualified. And her record shows that she
respects precedent, protects democratic norms, and pursues equal justice
for all people under the law. Now Congress must take the next step and
confirm her historic nomination as the first Black woman to sit on the
Supreme Court.
[ [link removed] ]The vote is just days away. Tell your senators now: Vote YES to confirm
Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court.
Environmental laws are only as strong as the judges who uphold them. For
too long, lax enforcement and environmental racism have left communities
of color and low-income communities to suffer the devastating health
impacts of toxic air and poisoned water.
And the next Supreme Court justice will have a voice in determining our
ability to defend our environment. The justices weigh in on hugely
consequential cases that will determine how we safeguard our right to
clean air and water, fight the existential threat of climate change,
protect public health, and much more.
This year alone, the Court will hear two cases that could have a profound
impact on the government's ability to address the climate crisis and
protect the nation's wetlands, streams, and waterways. Those cases
underscore the importance of confirming justices and judges like Jackson.
Judge Jackson is the right person at the right moment. Her decisions and
views will be both grounded in her legal expertise and informed by the
values and insights of her lived experience as a Black woman. And with one
vote, Congress can confirm her seat and move our country closer to a court
that represents all of America.
[ [link removed] ]Your senators need to know that their constituents support Judge
Jackson's nomination. Send your letter now demanding her swift
confirmation to the Supreme Court.
Thank you for speaking out during this historic moment.
Sincerely,
