Have you visited Nottingham's new festive offering yet? Why not bring the kids on Sunday for the first Little Vikings Club which kicks off inside the tipi?
From 10am until 11:30am, children can enjoy a free baby hot chocolate*. There is a great selection of books to sit down with, provided by Nottingham City Council's Libraries Services and also Viking-themed colouring in. Even the adults get a treat with free Sunday newspapers. Why not grab a drink and relax Viking-style?
It is hoped this will be a regular Sunday feature with lots of activities each week so watch this space.

What is THOR'S tipi bar?
THOR’S tipi bar is a Christmas pop-up bar under a canvas tipi. The bar is decked out with wooden tables and benches, warm furs and a real fire pit. Pop in for a hot chocolate and a relax while you do the Christmas shopping! Dogs are welcome too! Check it out at Trinity Square

Old Market Square
Skate on the largest outdoor rink in the East Midlands with a dedicated children’s area. Uniquely shaped, with an ice path encircling the Old Market Square fountains.
With the introduction of the new flexi ticket, budding Torvill & Deans will be able to enjoy at least an extra hour of skating during off peak times for the same price as the standard one hour ticket.
Back by popular demand is the Ice Mountain Toboggan Slide! Visitors can experience exhilarating fun while sliding down Kings Street in tubes!
Chill out in some pretty cool surroundings at the UK’s biggest mobile ice bar. Play on the air hockey table, made entirely from ice, get warm in the bobsleigh - with enough room for up to five people, or grab selfies with a snowboarder sculpture, supersize beer glass, and a grizzly bear.

Old Market Square
Browse over 70 wooden chalet market stalls and find that perfect gift.
While you are shopping, treat yourself to delicious homemade pretzels, Bratwurst and Gluhwein plus other festive treats on offer.
Browse the Bavarian-style stalls, searching for the perfect gift as well as sampling the delicious homemade and artisan cheeses, chutneys and chocolates on offer.
This year’s Christmas market has been expanded, with something for everyone including plants, mead, jewellery, scents, fashion, retro style, Eco art, Lego art, Fair-trade, Continental food, local homemade stew and home accessories to offer the discerning visitor.

Christmas shoppers and visitors to the city can leave the shopping for an hour and enjoy a quick drink, get Christmassy and take a break in the cosy surroundings of après ski bar, Sur la Piste. There is free live entertainment every evening too so why not pop by after work?
Those looking to celebrate in style can relax upstairs with a cocktail (or hot chocolate!) in the chic, glass lounge bar, Altitude, which provides panoramic views of the city. With table service and a private DJ, it's also a great spot to take your Christmas party.

Woodthorpe Park Plant Shop
A giant reindeer lights the way to Woodthorpe Park!
Visit the Plant Shop to choose your Christmas tree (From 23 November) from a huge stock of Nordmann firs as well as Fraser Firs. Trees come in biodegradable netting and there is a chipping service for when the festivities are over. Delivery is also free within a 15 mile radius.
There are lots of other plants too. Grab a home-grown poinsettia in a range of colours, plus cyclamens, violets, or chilli plants; all will make great gifts.

The Mirabilé Vocal Ensemble is excited to perform in the magnificent Great Hall at Wollaton Hall, in atmospheric candlelight.
The concert will be hosted by BBC Broadcaster and Journalist, John Hess
