Dear John,

Shocking news:

The Washington Post reports that the wife of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, Ginni Thomas sent dozens of text messages to Trump’s Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows, urging him to do everything possible to overturn the 2020 election results.

Riddled throughout the texts is a tone of religious certainty:

“This is a fight of good versus evil.” wrote Meadows. In another, Ginni Thomas threatens, “You guys fold, the evil just moves fast down underneath you all.”

Ginni Thomas has publicly denied any conflict of interest between her activism and her husband’s work on the Supreme Court. “Clarence doesn’t discuss his work with me, and I don’t involve him in my work,” she said in an interview for an article published on March 14.

As our champions in Congress investigate, including Jamie Raskin (D-MD) who sits on the January 6 Committee and co-chairs the Congressional Freethought Caucus, we believe it’s important for our community to weigh in:

Do you think Justice Clarence Thomas knew about his wife’s efforts to help overturn the election results?

Thank you for your input.
