According to the Brennan Center for Justice, GOP lawmakers are still investing millions of taxpayer dollars towards investigations of a non-issue, instead of investing in election offices that are desperately underfunded.

The political calculation is blatant. Republican AGs and lawmakers are using fears about ‘voter fraud’ to conduct unnecessary investigations, enforce overly strict voting laws, and help their own political careers. Dem AGs are invested in keeping a fair system that works for all of us, and ensuring that our democracy continues for years and years to come.
