If you've seen me on conservative news shows, or are familiar with my work at TownHall
or PJ Media, you know I don't apologize for my conservative values, and I'll defend my constitutional rights to the hilt.
I'm proud of America... NOT ASHAMED!
And, I know since you are reading this, that you aren't ashamed of America or our values either.
But there are millions of young people who aren't provided with the truth about your conservative ideas...
Will you help give these young people the
opportunity to hear your conservative ideas?
It's easy to see why young people are impressionable to liberal indoctrination.
They're high school and college students in schools where free speech is under constant assault and where political correctness and socialism is
pushed in the classroom.
Liberals bully students showing interest in your conservative ideas.
I should know-just ten years ago I was a young, impressionable student at the University of Arizona.
It didn't take me long to realize that my teachers didn't just dislike the conservative values my parents had instilled in me...they hated them.
My professors relied on MSNBC and CNN as the "gold standard" when it came to presenting the "truth" in their classes.
But I had no idea they'd try to silence my voice until I got involved with a national conservative organization called Young America's
Foundation (YAF).
With YAF's support and access to their campus lecture program, I decided to invite conservative author and activist David Horowitz to
speak on our campus.
He had just written a book about "how radical professors at America's top colleges indoctrinate students and undermine our democracy. "
And I was just about to discover just how right he was.
Just two days before the lecture, the school threatened to shut David Horowitz's lecture down unless our campus group coughed up cash to pay for
"security" because administrators had deemed the lecture "controversial."
Meanwhile, leftist activists tore down our signs and posters advertising the event so students wouldn't know about it.
Then, just three hours before the start of the event, the school moved the lecture to a hidden-away classroom in the hopes that no one would show up.
Yet, despite every roadblock they threw at us, the event was a HUGE success.
University of Arizona students got to hear David Horowitz explain why free enterprise and conservatism are the true roots of freedom.
And I learned a valuable lesson:
The Left will do anything to prevent young people from hearing conservatives because they know that students who hear the truth about our
values will reject socialism.
Oh, you won't hear much about the threats, violence, and intimidation pointed at conservatives in schools from the mainstream media.
But I've witnessed it firsthand.
And despite the fear and intimidation tactics
these radical leftists use in schools, I want you to know YOU can play a pivotal part to ensure more young Americans hear the truth about our
conservative values by joining YAF today.
You see, YAF had such an impact on my life that today I'm one of their speakers.
And I personally know how enraged the Left can get when we speak up for commonsense values that used to be taken for granted - such as border
security, free enterprise, and traditional family values.
For example:
- When I spoke at the university of Wisconsin, radical campus activists protested my speech by committing an obscene act that should have been
treated as sexual harassment. Instead, the university ignored protestors, labeled me as "controversial" and imposed a "security fee" on the local YAF
chapter.
- And later, at Kennesaw State University in Georgia, campus administrators tried to prevent me from speaking. They claimed I was "controversial,"
and campus administrators tried to force the local YAF chapter to pay a heavy handed "security fee" in a clear effort to stifle free speech.
But I'm not the only YAF speaker who's had to deal with this kind of intimidation. Many other YAF speakers have been disrupted... and even
seriously endangered.
Ben Shapiro was threatened by a violent Antifa terrorist demonstration, after U.C. Berkeley was forced
to allow him to speak after a lawsuit filed by YAF.
The First Amendment says every American deserves to have their voice heard in the public square. Everyone deserves a chance to share their opinion and
defend their viewpoints.
But the Left is terrified of your ideas.
That's why the Left seeks to SILENCE our voices, instead of debating us.
I've heard many good people say it's too late...there's nothing we can do to stop the Left from indoctrinating young people on college campuses with
socialism.
But it's simply not true - YAF is living proof we CAN stop them.
Time and time again, YAF has sued campuses who sought to censor conservative speakers and
WON - ensuring young Americans can hear our shared conservative values and ideas.
Let's face it - with the far Left firmly in control of our public school system and most colleges, young Americans won't hear these basic
truths unless YAF is there to tell them.
And time is running out for us to fight the lifetime of indoctrination forced upon our college age students.
If you want to help recruit the largest
audiences of young people into the Conservative Movement, I hope you will make a tax-deductible gift to Young America's Foundation
today.
Remember, the Left is determined to silence voices like ours in schools across the country.
In fact, they tried their best to stop YAF...
Your support of YAF is so important because without your help, they'll succeed and your conservative values WILL BE SILENCED.
This is simply not a battle we can afford to lose.
We must decide whether our country remains a bastion of freedom or it will be twisted and transformed into a socialist dystopia.
The next generation is the key in ensuring that our nation doesn't make the wrong choice.
Thank you in advance for you support of this crucial mission.
Gratefully,
