Friend: The momentous nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court brings us one step closer to witnessing history in the making.

I've been consistently impressed with Judge Jackson's wide-ranging experience and her lifelong dedication to public service. During the Senate’s confirmation hearings, her thoughtful responses repeatedly demonstrated her extensive legal knowledge, commitment to the rule of law, and impartial judicial temperament – even in the face of despicable and false attacks from Senate Republicans.

There is no question that she is remarkably qualified for this lifetime appointment and will be a brilliant voice on the Supreme Court. And right now, as the GOP works to endanger everything from reproductive rights to our very democracy, Judge Jackson's voice is one that we need on the bench more urgently than ever.

But with Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans trying to block her confirmation, I'm looking for 5,000 more people to join me in showing support for Judge Jackson's historic nomination – and I'm counting on you to be one of them, friend.
