For the very first time, workers at @amazonlabor were successful in organizing a union at an Amazon facility. I congratulate them on their extraordinary victory. I believe it's going to be a shot in the arm for this country's labor movement.

The historic victory of the Amazon Labor Union in New York City — led by Chris Smalls and his team of worker activists — shows that when ordinary people organize, we can win against the most powerful corporation on earth.
Our Revolution and Bernie have been fighting Amazon for years, exposing their illegal union-busting, creepy surveillance technology, and more. Our work had already forced Amazon to raise their employees' minimum wage to $15 an hour — but there is so much farther to go to get workers what we deserve.

In Alabama, Our Revolution stood side-by-side with Amazon workers, Sen. Sanders, and U.S. Representatives Andy Levin, Jamaal Bowman, Cori Bush, Terri Sewell, and Nikema Williams as they fought for their own union.
Together, we demanded that Amazon founder Jeff Bezos create a safe and humane working environment, slow down the pace of work to reasonable speeds, and respect their fundamental right to organize — but Amazon is using its limitless resources to ensure that it can continue exploiting working people with no consequences.
The victory in New York means that the tide of this fight is turning. And we couldn't be prouder of their work. We're all-in on helping them win more victories!
