Hey y’all,
Teachers are the bedrock of our society. They shape the minds of generations to come — they create the leaders of tomorrow
But Greg Abbott is failing our teachers.
Under Greg Abbott, average pay for Texas teachers has gone DOWN, even while the cost of living has gone way, way up.
Texas teachers are underpaid by about $7,500 compared to those in other states, and educators who retired after 2004 haven’t received a single cost of living adjustment on their retirement benefits.
What’s more, Greg Abbott has underfunded Texas schools by $4,000 per student compared to the national average.
Y'all, we need a governor who will pay teachers what they deserve and make real investments in education -- and that governor is Beto O'Rourke.
Will you split a contribution between Beto O’Rourke and Boot Texas Republicans right now to help elect a governor who will fight for the future of our state and our kids? [[link removed]]
