Hi there,

When we started doing this work in early 2020, we knew there were glass ceilings out there that needed to be shattered, but we had no idea just how many were left – and how dire the situation really was.

Help us elect our endorsed candidates and shatter glass ceilings across the country by contributing $20 right now. → [link removed]

Female candidates deal with an onslaught of violent and sexual threats from the moment they announce their candidacy. It's so much harder to run for office as a woman – perhaps that's why these are the current stats on female representation in our government:

73% of U.S. representatives are male
20 states have never elected a female governor
201 out of 435 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives have never been held by a woman
5 out of 115 Supreme Court Justices have been women
3 out of 50 state legislators have achieved gender parity
19 states have never elected a woman to represent them in the U.S. Senate

These stats are why we exist. It is why the work of HBM is so important. There are far too many rooms where decisions that affect women are being made – without any women present. All across the country, including in Texas, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Arizona, and beyond, we are seeing sexist and dangerous laws being introduced at unprecedented rates, and it’s time that we elect representatives who will voice their concerns and lived experiences to prevent such laws from getting written in the first place.

We need progressive women at every level of our government to defend our fundamental rights. Republicans would like nothing more than to turn back the clock on abortion, healthcare, the environment and more, and it is up to us to ensure that doesn’t happen.

We have endorsed incredible women across the nation who are running in competitive races (often against GOP men with troubling agendas) and who have what it takes to lead. Her Bold Move supports their campaigns in ways no other organization will by offering financial support, on-the-ground organizing, tailored support programs, and more – but we need your help.

Please support us as we fight to elect progressive women, including Sarah Godlewski, who is running for Senate in Wisconsin against right-wing extremist Ron Johnson, and Rev. Jasmine Beach-Ferrara, who is running for Congress against Madison Cawthorn, one of the most dangerous representatives in office. Contribute $20 or any amount now. →
