Time... that’s something we could use a lot more of in Congress, if we are to accomplish everything we need to between now and November.
There are precious few months remaining before the American people vote in the midterm elections that will determine which party will control the House and Senate.
Republicans are slow-walking every possible action in the House and Senate — we’re still confirming initial members of President Biden’s administration, for goodness sake. QAnon cranks like Marjorie Taylor Greene routinely file “motions to adjourn” that take hours of floor time reserved for debate and the passage of serious legislation on the floor.
We’ve got to set our priorities for the month ahead and push for them. Quickly.
Will you take my campaign’s official April Priorities Survey to let me know which issues you want us to prioritize in the weeks and months ahead? It will only take a moment of your time, and your feedback means a lot to me.
If President Biden was able to sign every bill the House has passed this year, the United States would be in our strongest position in generations.
We’re talking about restoring the Voting Rights Act, implementing universal pre-K, expanding Medicare and Medicaid, lowering prescription drug prices, and putting hundreds of billions of dollars toward the transition from fossil fuels to clean energy. That’s just for starters.
In the time we have left this session, what is most important to you? Your feedback means a lot to me — please take my April Priorities Survey today. It will only take a moment or two.
Thanks for staying involved and supporting our campaign, and our Democratic majorities.
All my best,
— Adam
