Welch for Vermont

Hello,

Spring is one of my favorite times of year in Vermont.

The scenic landscapes, the unparalleled natural beauty, all the opportunities to get out and hike and enjoy the great outdoors—our environment is a treasure for Vermonters, and it invites tourists who help drive our economy.

But climate change threatens all of this, year round. If we don’t act with urgency to address this crisis, temperatures will keep rising, damaging not only the environment, but our livelihoods and quality of life. But we still have hope, and we still have time to fight back—with a Green New Deal.

If you agree it’s time to pass a Green New Deal to protect our planet, add your name right away.

In Congress, I’ve fought for decades for a clean energy future and to combat the climate crisis, so I know first-hand what’s at stake—and what we can achieve together.

We can establish a national renewable energy standard, accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles, create thousands of good-paying jobs, and more. But we need Congress to acknowledge the urgency of this moment, and Republicans in Washington keep burying their heads in the sand.

I’m running for Senate to look out for Vermonters, protect our Democratic majority, and make sure we can tackle big issues like climate change.

It’s time for a Green New Deal. Add your name if you agree.

Thanks for taking action,

Peter
