Hey y’all,
I’m here to talk to you about volunteering. I ran for the North Carolina House of Representatives. I lost twice. The population who turned out the least were people of color – Black, Latinx, Native American, and Asian American Pacific Islander.
So a group of us got together to see what it would look like if we engaged in a year-round program. Tayler Mickens, one of our incredible organizers, is rounding up folks with a volunteer and registering people to vote! ↓↓↓
Honestly, after my 2020 campaign, which involved a huge amount of fieldwork, I was burned out and done with this kind of work because this work is hard. You can’t out-organize gerrymandering…or can you?
This work only works if you do the work.
We’re building out a year-round strategy to organize communities whose doors never get knocked, who no one invests in, and who get ignored. Jack, I’m asking you because it’s important: will you join our movement? Nothing can stop us if we all work together! →
Here’s to hope,
