I’m going to be blunt.
This is bullsh*t. Rand Paul is saying he won’t vote to confirm Judge Kentanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court because she didn’t define “woman” to his liking.
Judge Jackson’s years of service as a Public Defender, Vice Chair of the U.S. Sentencing Commission, District Court Judge and Court of Appeals Judge provide her with the resume and undeniable qualifications to be elevated to the highest court in the land.
But clearly, Rand Paul couldn’t care less. It’s obvious that his vote will always skew toward the racist, backwards agenda that his big political donors and friends in the GOP want him to support.
Let’s send a message to Rand that we’re done playing his political games: Will you chip in $5 or anything you can to show Rand that a grassroots movement is rising up here in Kentucky to take him out of office and end this cycle of failed leadership?
We have a rare opportunity to make history in so many ways in 2022.
From electing the first Black Senator to represent Kentucky, to confirming the first Black woman to join the Supreme Court — this is our chance to send folks to Washington D.C. who will fight for the people-first change we need in our politics.
Rand Paul and his friends know this opportunity is real. That’s why they’re already hard at work raising millions in dark super PAC money to attack our campaign and organizing to block Brown’s confirmation.
It’s going to take all of us working together to overcome these attacks and make sure we confirm Judge Jackson and replace Rand Paul.
There are only months left until Election Day so there’s not a moment we can waste to prepare for this competitive election.
Together,
Charles
