Shervin Aazami is running to be the first progressive Iranian-American to serve in the House of Representatives. This is more than a political campaign – this is a people-powered, progressive movement. With your help, we can take this movement to Washington to
bring real change to CA-32.
Hi John,
We just rounded out the first quarter of 2022, and John, it's been one of our busiest so far. Read on below to learn more about what Team Shervin has been up to this past month:
We're lucky to have the support of a coalition of progressive leaders and organizations. In March, Jewish Voice for Peace Action PAC, Sunrise Movement LA, Youth Climate Strike LA, as well as both local chapters and the national organization of Progressive Democrats of America officially joined our growing list of endorsers.
After weeks of filing paperwork and gathering signatures from voters, we have officially qualified for the ballot in June! CA-32 voters are now guaranteed the opportunity to vote for a progressive activist!
We had a big interview with Cenk Uygur on The Young Turks sharing our campaign vision and platform, and discussing how political civility is not the answer when millions of our community members are struggling with poverty, starvation wages, and lack of basic needs like housing and healthcare. You can watch the whole interview here!
As we get closer to the June 7th primary, our voter contact efforts are ramping up as well. We’ve already contacted tens of thousands of voters in the district and have greatly appreciated all the enthusiasm we’re seeing for our people-powered campaign.
And of course, in between busy moments on the campaign trail and long hours in Shervin for Congress, Shervin, Jamie, and baby Barrett were able to make time for quality family moments, including celebrating Norooz, the beginning of the Persian New Year.
Thank you for being a part of our team, John. We can't wait to see what the next month holds as we ramp up the fight for CA-32.
