Thanks to supporters like you, GLSEN has grown to be the nation’s leading organization working to guarantee students a safe, inclusive, and affirming education.
As you know, however, not every student gets that education.
Our most marginalized students—including LGBTQ+, Black, Indigenous, and students of color, students with disabilities, transgender, nonbinary, two spirit and students of all genders—are still fighting to be recognized and included in their schools.
Today, many in our community are facing coordinated and broader attacks by extremists.
It’s hard to read about efforts to ban LGBTQ+ books in schools, erase LGBTQ+ identities via the “Don’t Say Gay” bill, and criminalize parents of trans kids. But the reality is these issues are happening in real time and they will exponentially impact the sense of safety and identity of millions of students.
Because of you, students and families don’t have to face these challenges alone, GLSEN is leading the response to protect LGBTQ+ youth.
Together we are meeting these challenges and the many others LGBTQ+ youth are facing.
John, you have been by our side providing a steadfast commitment to affirming and protecting LGBTQ+ youth. You help ensure that GLSEN is not only here to fend off anti-LGBTQ+ attacks, but to set a proactive agenda for the future.
Thank you as always for joining us in this fight.
