John – when Sen. Chuck Grassley first started serving in public office it was 1959. President Eisenhower was in office and Alaska had only just become a state.

Since then, he’s come out in support of term limits. But sixty-three years after he was first elected to office, he still hasn't tried to actually make them happen. Now he’s running for an EIGHTH term in the U.S. Senate and it doesn’t seem like he’s too worried about those term limits he once promised to fight for.

So this year, let's finally retire Chuck Grassley and elect someone who will truly fight for term limits.

Democrat Abby Finkenauer – the youngest woman to flip a House seat from red to blue – is running to end Sen. Grassley's decades-long grip on power. She's announced her support for term limits, and unlike Sen. Grassley, she actually means it. Abby has pledged to only serve two terms in the Senate, because if you're doing your job right, 12 years is more than enough time to get things done for the people you serve.

Abby has what it takes to defeat Sen. Grassley and fight for term limits in the Senate, but she needs you with her. Can you join our team of grassroots donors with a $5 donation? Every dollar helps us flip this seat blue and expand our Senate majority.

Plain and simple: eight terms in the United States Senate is too damn long for anybody – especially someone like Sen. Grassley who's spent his time in Washington cozying up to lobbyists and owning a near-million dollar house while fighting against policies that would improve the lives of working Iowans.

He's failed Iowans and he's left working families behind – and now voters are ready to show him the door. Polling shows that he's facing his highest disapproval rating on record! After so many decades in Washington, Sen. Grassley has some powerful allies with deep pockets. Republicans have already raised more than $130 MILLION to defeat Democrats like Abby and take back the Senate. You can bet they'll be lining up to defend vulnerable incumbents like their long-time buddy, Sen. Grassley.

Abby's got the momentum here on the ground to win, but she needs powerful grassroots resources to capitalize on it. If you think that eight terms in the Senate is too damn long, can you make your first $5 donation to defeat Sen. Grassley and expand our Senate majority?
