When the Alliance was founded in the wake of Sandy Hook, we were told time and time again that legislative action to prevent gun violence was impossible. We’ve been proving that wrong ever since. Our advocacy, education and community outreach, and electoral work has made Washington state a leader in gun violence prevention. We’ve proven that progress on gun safety is possible.

But we’re met with near constant reminders that our work is not over. On Sunday, six people were killed and 12 more were wounded in a mass shooting in Sacramento. There were at least seven more mass shootings across the country over the weekend, including one at a concert in Dallas, where 12 people were shot, one fatally.

We are more resolved than ever to build on the progress we have made. Your support will play a key role in funding our lifesaving work in 2022 and beyond.
