After two years of the pandemic, COVID-19 is still an urgent health crisis impacting all of the countries where Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) works. In addition to our work in countries like Ukraine, MSF teams continue to respond to the ongoing pandemic. For example:

In South Africa, MSF partnered with the Western Cape Department of Health to create a vaccination support program for people at increased risk of severe disease and death from COVID-19—vaccinating 2,238 individuals between December 2021 and January 2022.
MSF staff in Peru offer health services and COVID-19 vaccinations to Venezuelan migrants entering the country after undertaking a nearly 2,000-mile journey from their homes.
MSF advocates on behalf of migrants, asylum seekers and vulnerable people for equitable distribution of COVID-19 vaccines, treatments, and tests. Ensuring these tools reach everyone around the world is crucial.
