Dear educator,
I want you to know how important education is to me. Educators work tirelessly and are still often unappreciated and unsupported. Too commonly they are forgotten and misunderstood when legislation is created - this must come to an end. As your state Senator, I plan to stand up for teachers and students in Montgomery!
Every Alabamian should have the opportunity to succeed, and education is the key to reaching success. Providing children access to high-quality educational options is critical to their ability to be successful later in life. Every single Alabama child deserves the best possible education, and I believe that starts with better supporting our teachers and classrooms.
I will fight to keep teachers' retirement benefits, to provide them with more classroom funding, and to provide students with access to the best schools. I hope to work with you and for you listening to the needs of teachers in District 12.
The strength of our economy in the future demands that children receive quality education today, and I am committed to supporting Alabama's children so that our state has a strong workforce and a bright future.
