John – I am thrilled to welcome Kesha Ram Hinsdale to the Brand New Congress 2022 slate!

Kesha is a history-maker and a trailblazer. In 2008 she made history as the youngest person elected to the Vermont State Legislature, and the first person of color to represent Burlington.
In 2020 she made history again, becoming the first woman of color elected to the Vermont State Senate.
For over a decade, Kesha has been fighting for progressive policies in the Vermont State Legislature, working to end climate change by transitioning to a green economy, expanding early childhood education and college opportunities, and reforming our criminal legal system.
Kesha is running for Congress to fight for universal healthcare, voting rights, abortion justice, and workers’ rights. Help elect Kesha by splitting a contribution between her campaign and BNC now. [[link removed]]

Kesha grew up in a multiracial, working class family. One of her first jobs was waiting tables in the Irish pub run by her Jewish American mother and her Indian immigrant father.
She experienced racial profiling growing up, and graduated college at the start of the 2008 financial crash. Years before the Green New Deal was introduced in Congress, Kesha wrote an environmental justice bill as a senior in college which she then advocated in the Vermont State Legislature before running for office herself.
Every step of the way, Kesha has led with vision and integrity, building the relationships and coalitions needed to get things done. She firmly believes you never leave the negotiating table empty-handed.
We know Kesha will work with both a spirit of collaboration and a driven sense of principle to get things done in Congress. Will you split a contribution between Kesha’s campaign and Brand New Congress now? [[link removed]]

Kesha is set to become the first woman and the first person of color elected to Congress from Vermont. And if she’s successful, she will be the first Jewish person of color ever elected to Congress.
Kesha’s lived experience is unparalleled, and we need her vision in Congress. Split a contribution between Kesha and BNC now. Donate here: [link removed] [[link removed]]

Since 2016 BNC has led the way in advancing popular policies like Medicare for All and the Green New Deal. We invest EARLY to help grassroots candidates succeed. We recruited and elected AOC in 2018 and Cori Bush in 2020 alongside Jamaal Bowman and Rashida Tliab. And we have our first win of 2022: Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick won her primary by FIVE votes thanks to BNC.
We have elections from now until November, and our candidates are counting on your support. Pitch in today and join us as we take over Congress and return power to the people.
